  I expected replacing a flat roof to involve a lot of guessing on my part because I know very little about roofing. Instead, every recommendation came with a reason that actually made sense. Rather than telling me the old roof was "bad," royal roofing and siding brooklyn explained how repeated ponding had broken down certain sections of the membrane and why the flashing details around the perimeter were no longer reliable. Once construction began, they documented each layer as it came off the building, which was surprisingly interesting to see. When they found a few soft spots in the deck, they outlined the affected areas, photographed them, and reviewed everything before replacing a single board. The new insulation and membrane went down in a way that clearly corrected the drainage issues we'd been dealing with for years. At the end of the project they reviewed the warranty, maintenance recommendations, and what normal wear should look like over time. There wasn't a hard sales pitch for future services or anything like that. Just practical information from people who clearly wanted the roof to last.
